subfor SG hi everyone. first timer in this forum, need some advice from all brothers how can i modify my forestor not affecting the warranty?i just need slightly more hp cos always got bully by others. Thanks.
Praetorian111 SG No matter what you modify u will affect the warranty of that part you mod....unless you r using subaru's parts..... I beg it is over one yr rite?? better wait till you overall warranty is over be4 u do anything.... there is a forum over at Rex factor for forestor.... go and join and they will advise you on how to mod.... where to mod.... forestor already have quite good HP wat??
bo liao SG i think wat he want is pure raw torque, not bhp...cos i sit b4 in friend forestor, can hit 170km/h....

manualisbetter SG Hello just curious, what type of car could still want to challenge your Forrestor which is already Turbo-charged? Did you step on your gas hard? I saw some forrestors already running fast enough on road with hardly any close competitors from the family saloon or SUV...
manualisbetter SG Most likely these boy-racing cars are also mod. and so still not likely to win them if the Forrestor is mod. later... As for Ferrari, it's a difference racing class and most of these drivers are not out to race on normal road we are driving on...
AE86tofu SG Wonder what engien the forester is using…..if its a WRX engine then u can use WRX engine parts 2 mod it…Mine is a slivia engine so can use silvia parts…same goes for the proton wira and saga as they are lancers…..oh not 2 mention the airtrek turbo
subfor SG thanks everyone for the reply. actually i just need the little more horses. not heavily modify like those racing cars. may be some DIY parts. the other day saw advert on Remus exhaust so wanting to change but will affect the warranty, was told by friends. anyway i dont poke pple back but always got poke thats why fed up. thanks again everyone.
Praetorian111 SG U can modify using subaru STI parts then the warrenty will be intact.... next time just signal left and then poke back the backside..... .....

tailslide SG ya, but there's a catch. the installation of the part muz be from the factory. even if u install STI parts urself, the maufacturer can still void the warranty on the grounds that such parts were not installed properly (ie, at the factory or licensed agent). as a rule of the thumb, it would be difficult for the manufacturer to void ur warranty if it is approved by the watch body for mods, the LTA. legal exhuast systems like Remus or Supersprints that are approved by LTA should not void ur warranty. but aiya, in any case, when u mod ur car, u muz be prepared to void ur warranty liaoz.
dansplace SG Get larger snail and front-mounted intercooler.... But seriously, please consider the reliability and safety for the car before you begin your modding project. This I mean, your brakes, brake lines, suspension, tires, strut bars, etc. Its very dangerous to have a fast car without control. I do not know about forresters, but if you have drum brakes, maybe you can consider changing to calipers. Lowering the car is not necessarily a good thing - you are upsetting what the manufacturer think is a good balanced car. Do ample research and dun rush into any decision. Cheers !!! Have fun!
[A]J SG change to 2.5l STi engine... den change to manual gearbox... twin turbo, 2 intercooler; 1 front-mount, 1 top mount as usual... change air filter, exhuast, piping, downpipe, intake manifold, n alot la etc etc .... ok, u wont get bullied, at least by other common cars....
