I believe Singapore will have Muslim Prime minister only if the population is more than 50% muslim.....

as long as my rights and interests are secured, i dare say i can be totally colour blind to my pm's personal beliefs. if you're going to say crap like new pm going to issue sharia laws then how? he or she would be condemned muslim or not. even the chinese would condemn a chinese pm.

Singapore is a multi-racial nation. The point is, who contribute more to the the wealth of a nation?

As a Jew, David Marshall was secular - like the Turks, who insisted that religion has no place in politics in Turkey.

David Marshall did not impose his religious beliefs onto Singaporeans of all ethnic or religious backgrounds, and was supported by one and all.

Can the Malay Muslims successfully imitate the Turks in the same ways that the Arabs have been imitated by the Malays ?

Look at the minority races in Malaysia and Indonesia. They are marginalised.

I doubt that a Muslim leader can be impartial. A democratic one is better. Let's see if Anwar can prove me wrong.

They are "marginalised" because that is the only way the government can appease the masses, by dodging the economic problems and shifting focus to a racial one.
