Chia Thye poh was held by ISA for 23 years imprisonment and 9 years house arrest in Sentosa, without charge or trial. there were others like him, but they were released after they agreed to sign a document to renounce violence and sever ties, if any, with the Communist Party of Malaya.(CPM)

Chia was given the same deal, but he refused to sign the document as he feels that doing so will mean he admits to advocating violence and being part of CPM before, thus the 32 year saga.

If you were him, will you do the same? or will you be more flexible?

It is plain evil to detain anyone on the whim of a political leader, more so when the political leader has the audacity of claiming to have brought his country into a First World Status.

It is pure evil to keep the citizens in line with an Internal Security Act that leaves no room for applying even an Habeas Corpus to gain a review to the abuse of this Act.

i think it is extremely difficult to find another Chia and that's what makes him so special.

i think you should direct your "arrows" towards someone else who "signed the document"

someone you know, who has seen the "light" but still can sign and fly back so fast to denounce his signing. i think your light isn't inspiring people to be high principled.

the question posted speaks for itself, asking forumers on their opinions on their own actions. atobe choose to reply with a taunt how then can this be considered well said?
