do local scholars also serve a 3 year bond?
what's the difference between the two different categories?
genuine question, not trying to find fault or hijack thread.
to clarify:
singapore scholar & Foreign scholar on corporate or
scholarship: usually serve 4 yr bond with company.
foreign student (w/o scholarship) : 4 or 5 yr
bond with government.
singapore student w/o scholarship: no bond. government not
responsible for employment.
TS is probably talking about the first 2 type of students.
singapore scholarship holders are less likely than foreigners to
emigrate, due to his or her sense of belonging. i.e family and
friends.
for foreigner, singapore is at best an intermediate country,
where he or she look for better opportunities.
