depends on how fast the infiltrator can secure his/her own base of supporters. its well known a charismatic person can attract a large following easily and quickly(looking at how some religions work)

a willingness to offer "bribes" and favours and good timing helps to appeal to people.

if all conditions meet, results can show in the next elections but unknown to the rest of us.

same thing for external, if you want it to work you must cover it up well enough to avoid disruption.

If you are referring to personalities only, yes, i don't think we will see any changes in the forseeable future. But never rule out any unexpected events like a financial meltdown or a natural catastrophe.

depends on how you do it. he was popular but he never secured his position. if a split's going to happen it has to happen during a time your target can't react to, right? what if LCS worked with PAP "happily" til he won the elections and then strike to kill off all oppostion?(sounds like what LKY did?) Lim choose to act at a time his rivals have the resources and means to do him in.

just like what CSJ's doing, his timing's horrible. for those claiming he's smart because he has a phd, last time i checked he's a neuropsychologist not a lawyer he didn't study Political science either. striking openly in a time when PAP's already consolidated their rule?
