Thailand_Hero SG I am going to start a Road tripping club Car owners who enjoy long distance driving to Malaysia or even Thailand are welcome to join! Simply reply in this forum if you enjoy winding roads and life on the road. Alternatively you can also email me at [email protected] Well it cost nothing but it is always safer to travel in a group or convoy. I will organise trips to Bangkok and even Chiang Mai. My dream is to lead a convoy to drive from Singapore to London. Just living off our vehicles or 4x4s and sleeping in tents or motels. More occasionally we will do short weekend trips to Desaru to camp at the beach or the resorts, or malacca for shopping and food. So All like minded adventerous people pls do not hesitate, support this thread!
bcyn SG thats nice... but also hafta see if everyone's free anot mah... den dun forget each car muz have at least 2 drivers. my car sure cannot make it to malacca one unless travel 90kmh all the way.
Danisdead101times SG i would like to join you...but i think by the time i reach thailand ,my car will burst...
Thailand_Hero SG Haha...ok actually when i organise trips its ok if people cannot make it. coz theres always a next time also we must abide by simple convoy rules. No speeding, within speed limits and no overtaking each other in the convoy. Why do we travel together? If nothing else just for security. Once you reach malacca for example you can choose to go on your own and just meet up next day to drive together back. camping trips, i know of many good places for camping in malaysia. Secluded beaches with long streaches of beach. good places to BBQ and just chill out. we will set our campsites within view of each other, so if we need anything we can still help each other. Its a great club...no harm joining.
Thailand_Hero SG Sure, but you have to provide your own camping stuff and share with the petrol and toll charges. Whenever we have an outing i will inform you and set you up with a car who is willing to accomodate a passenger and share cost.
the Bear SG whoa man, this sounds GOOD!! i've got a driver's license but no car.. willing and able to drive anything
Thailand_Hero SG For those interested pls email me at [email protected] so i can add you into my mailing list. Will keep all of you updated on events that we can all enjoy
Lancer947 SG I frequent a few places in Malaysia, Desaru, Batu Pahut, KL, Kampar, Ipoh, Taman Negara. Anything further than that, I would prefer to take coach...
Thailand_Hero SG Coaches are cheap and comfortable way of travelling. However driving yourself is far more fun and convinient way of getting to places. It also allows you the luxury of carrying things that you normally would leave at home Rule number 1. A good driver always drives safely, and does not cause danger to himself, his fellow drivers or his vehicle. Bear this rule in mind and i hope you all can enjoy your roadtrips.
Thailand_Hero SG I am going to organise a camping trip to desaru. 2 nights camping and just chilling out at the beach. Cooking yourselves. deserted beach with no one in sight. Any interested parties? this will happen in June during the school holidays.
Circuit SG interested .. but hmmm using berlingo leh.. any one knoe how much to apply got malaysia permit to enter? heard a lot like ...canot.. .can pay... 600 SIN bucks.at LTA.. stuff like tat.....!.. can anyone verify?... wats the actual procedure?.. and amt?... thanks...
Lancer947 SG Wah! Using Berlingo, then dun need to use tent, just bring mattress and sleep in the compartment behind. Nice and comfortable .
Thailand_Hero SG hi circuit your berlingo is a good choice for a camping trip. just turn on your engine, and air con, and u can sleep all the way in the boot. however you might want to call LTA to find out more. The camping trip i am organising is totally FREE. just bring your own camping stuff, gear and be self sufficient. Once we get to the beach, you just take a camping spot far from each other so we don't crowd up and lets all just enjoy our own part of the ocean. As we are going to be driving on the beach, make sure that your car model is able to sustain this form of driving.
