About driving test & colourblindness

Hi experienced drivers,

I have applied for PDL(which wasnt smooth at all during the colour-test), do i need to do another colourblind test again?

Some of my frens no need, while others said have to take the color test before applying for Qualified Driving Licence at Traffic Police there.

As for enrolment into ssdc/cdc school, do they test again?

I have partial colourblindness but i really want to drive a car for my childhood-now interest badly.

The test you took at where? the TP licensing branch at your school?

Not sure about the test colourblindness test procedure but afaik, the schools do not test for ur colourblindness as that is the purview of the licensing dept.

So did they approve your PDL or not?

You might need to do a more stringent test?

I think colourblindness is ok as long as you can see red, amber and green maybe blue also.

Hi, thanks for trying to help me.

I passed my PDL. I took PDL at ssdc. Now i want to enrol to ssdc, but frens said they got test colour during enrolment at ssdc. I cant afford to take colour test again. It was very hard for me despite i can see the colour on roads well strangely. Maybe i enrol into CDC where i heard dont test for colour during enrolment

I did colour blind only once when i enrolled a few years back and dat was only for TP to get PDL. Dun think school will do it again if TP can issue u PDL.

not only the traffic light colours, other signs colours r also important like the arrow left and right turning indicator lights... u sure u can be a cautious and safety driver on the road?

I think you need to get certification from the doctor that u are able to drive for assurance....
