this is a stark reality that no one with voice/influence here dare
to challenge lky.
lky,lhl, hc and a string of their family members all hold the
purse string of singapore resources and are getting away with
murder.
if they ever thot of absconding, god forbid what will happen to
the country.
we are all at their mercy.
The majority Singaporeans believe in Blind Faith. 
There is actually no need to abscond with the money, all they
have to do is do afew transfers and the money would be legitimately
in their hands. Thaksin was able to do that with Thailand state
funds.
It's an irony that the best people to be politicians are not
politicians and the worst people to be politicians are politicians.
