SM Goh confident PAP will eventually win back Hougang

last SG · 2008-07-27T21:52:33+00:00

If I don't remember wrongly LTK won 65% in Hougang. Sure 9 blocks will be demolished but there should be about 200 blocks in Hougang? I don't think LTK's 65...

yes i do agree that the majority may not really mind, because they are unaware of the evils that the ruling party is doing. try asking your friends or colleagues who do not talk politics, they only care about their 3 meals, house, car and job.

Anyway, its up to the people to decide who wins the next ge, and i really hope to see more opposition, not less.

I concur what you said. Some of them may take offence when you talk about politics, to them they are brainwashed to think that talking politics or rather voicing out is a crime. Majority of Sinkaporeans are very inward looking, politically immature. This is a great advantage to Pay and Pay.

Fantagf SG

have you seen today's wan bao? where low retorted goh's statement about winning back HG..

"i have no crystal ball so i won't know...maybe they have.." LOL

don't understand why he is making such statements at such sensitive time when the people's morale is low and the outlook bleak...

either he is erm... ageing... fast.. or *pats* helping the opp team.. LOL

This is clear for all to know the ruling party cares for themselves only.

During this bad times, what they need to do is to think of ways to help people cope with the difficulty instead of concentrating on winning and increasing the transport fares.

Heartless govt we have. If people are for heartless, self serving govt, please vote for PAP, thank you.

They have been depoliticised by PAP regime.

Forced to swallow their propaganda in state media.

Their level of political knowledge and awareness is at a very low level.

They will be easy to influence through state propaganda media.

I feel sad for these people.

Totally ignorant about world and local affairs.

They are not forced to swallow the propaganda. Take for example my sis. She is against people speaking up and tell people off that if they don't have solutions to the problems just shut up. She has chosen to slam people who dare speak up instead of choosing to be objective. If people can solve, we will not need any leaders in the country, no brain.

For your info, my sis is very aware and interested of the world politics, but she chooses to take offence on people who are speaking up.

Your sister has a strange attitude towards people speaking up.

Does she support USA?

Yes and no. She keeps harbouring the thought that what happened in Tibet is orchestrated by Bush thru Dalai Lama. Basically, she is against democracy. She claims that democracy is no good for the country. She is very supportive of China and point fingers at me that I support UK because I am English educated. This is plain bullshit, I don't support any country blindly.

Quincey SG

Maybe she just needs love.

Poh Ah Pak SG

Democracy under right conditions is good for everyone.

It must be done step by step.

Fantagf SG

Maybe she just needs love.

She loves to oppose for the sake of opposing. Strange, she also does complain about Pay and Pay but will stop people when she hears others complain.

Many people has that view.

It is also fact that CIA instigated the Tibetans to wage guerrilla war against China in the 1950s-60s.

Agree. My sis claims that Taiwan is enjoying too much of democracy and it is of no good. However, I think otherwise. The ruling party in Taiwan is not blind to allowing democracy to create chaos, division in the country and so on.

Don't want Hougang to fall into the hands on the Empire? Or would you rather Hougang declare independence?

Use the divine power!

http://superprayerlad.blogspot.com/

Very novel ideation - just imagine the hilarity & surrealism of the picture when Hougang has its own Customs & Check points for entry & exit of people - and what will happen if a big gun from next door wants to gain entry?

"Use the divine power!" - The Gods must be crazy (a movie shown here some years ago).

On a serious note please be careful with the usage of the word 'independence'.

A big applause to them. WE need more spineless cowards all over Singapore to drive out the autocrats.

Absolutely concur with your statement - like what I have stated on 27.7.08: - everything has a price but the great Hougang voters answered that with : "look here - no deal"

t_a_s SG

Hougang can be taken back by the Pap, but by that time, Dog Chok Tong already in the grave, most likely in hell.
