Young PAP says its discussion forum is meant as
an open platform for discussion and as such, we take a
'light-touch' approach to moderation to maintain the openness of
the forum.
This reply came after a STOMPer reported about the
forum being flooded with links to pornographic websites.
Young PAP says in its response:
"The YP Discussion Forum is meant as an open platform for
discussion and as such, we take a 'light-touch' approach to
moderation.
"Unfortunately, there will always be individuals who prefer to
engage in unconstructive postings than engage in discussion on
current affairs.
"There is also the technology challenge of bots indiscriminately
spamming discussion boards such as ours.
"While we had previously tried to manage inconvenience to our forum
participants by blocking postings from overseas, it had the
unintended consequence of preventing genuine users from posting
when overseas or from their overseas accounts.
"As such, our group of volunteer moderators have agreed to allow
some level of 'noise' in order to maintain the openness of the
forum."
wtf lol pay and pay so funny one. who the moderator uh.
