Parka SG I'm on the 256 singnet. My normal downloading speed is 25kb/s. But just when I came back, I saw my Kazaa clocking 40kb/s. Then I saw it can climb up to 60kb/s. As I am typing this, the speed is at 50kb/s. Can anyone tell me if this is the normal speed a 256 is suppose to have?
duotiga83 SG kazaa speed is irregular 1.....but i heard my friend say if u exceed certain limit in kazaa it will hang ur com...btw my Broadband also 256k
sgboy2004 SG Most of the time, u would not reach 256Kbps...most of the time not even close to it. 256kbps is the max ... but due to conjestion in the internet traffic, it is quite impossible to reach such a high speed. Kazza 1 is not accurate 1.
Parka SG Well. it looks true to me because I was observing the size of my file downloading. It was jumping at 30kb/s.
Parka SG My com didn't hang. The power went off again by itself. Argh. Lost another 100 to 200 MB of data. Now the speed drop back to my normal 25kb/s already. Sad.
duotiga83 SG u didn't set the power off by setting not off? i been tt b4...i set no off.... i multiple dl...even worse...
Parka SG What do you mean? Anyway, I try not to download multiples because of this problem. Very dangerous.
duotiga83 SG u go properties screensaver there the settings u change it to no off hardisk . i standard dl 4 at the smae time...last time i even more crazy...10 at once....
Master -_- SG i have reached 120kb/s before.. it depends on bandwith.. if more people have the file (more cable users) the rate will increase tamade high..
shock1234 SG 256/8 = 32kbyte/s (kB/s) thereotically max think ur speed there are juz transient that onli last for a while.
shock1234 SG 256kbps = kilo bits per sec what u c in program such as kazaa, IE, etc are in kB/s (kilo bytes per sec)
shock1234 SG one way to test it out is to d/l in irc. but got to find a fast source. most r scv quite slow (cap u/l speed to ard 15kB/s)
