lionnoisy - have you been drowned by your own noise that you are
making to propagate the well worn nonsensical propaganda
in your inimicable 'bastardised' lionnoisy style ?
As a brilliant opening statement, you asked: ''Can those index / ranking feed your stomach
& your kid's stomach ?'' - and you bastardised your
entire opening with a loud fart at the end with another
question: "My friends, this index
tells u the overall life in SG" - {the words are borrowed from a die-hard fan of
the Great Shepherd}.
Which doctored index are
you using that do not tell the number of people living
well in Singapore at this time when there are those in the age 45
to 58 group that still have not found employment since the last
retrenchment exercise in 2004-2005 ?
What index are you referring to that has left out those living
at the poverty line in Singapore, and are eking their lives in
their old age collecting paper cartons, and cleaning tables at food
centers ?
Does it help your Singapore any better by deriding another
country - Philippines or or any other countries ?
Can those index/ranking feed your stomach & your kid's
stomach?
With due respect,pl allow me take Philippines as example.
SG pple can get much info from PHP pple working
here. Also,SG can go to PHP to verify.
Today news from AFP,as reported in today STimes,
inspired me to open this thread.
There are many street children in Manila.
Pl search Butch Nerja,a former street child, then u will get the
news.
This is a sad problem, caused by many issues, like
corruptions,
gavaman not encouraged Family Planning in this Catholic
country,
poor Foreign Investments...
Manila may have its street child exposed to the elements by the
corruption of the politicians.
Are you blind to the morally bankrupt policy of the Singapore
government who will insist that Social Welfare will not be used as
a crutch to help the poor Singaporeans - those who are living in
poverty, who cannot even afford to pay their utilities after paying
for the rented 1-Room HDB flat - but this Government will
UNASHAMEDLY depend on a MILLION Dollar Ministerial Wage to be used
as a crutch to prevent corruption amongst the Ministers ?
gavaman dare not take unpopular
policy

Then i remember CSJ mentioned SG poor ranking in Freedom
House
ranking...
Can the ranking help us or reflect the whole picture of any
country's life?I mean life not just assembly,protests,but
considering
all aspects.like jobs,housing,welfare,health etc
What is the damn Fxxxing use when one country classfied as
Free or Partyly Free, her doctors rushing for retrain as
Nurses
to work in other countries?
Yes, the Government under LKY had all the bravado to
go against more experienced voices and pushed Singapore into a
dubious merger with Malaysia that left us with a huge historical
baggage of political problems that will last for
generations.
Yes, the Government of LKY had the bravado to push for a
Two-Child Family Planning Program, and continued with the policy
despite the strong advise from experts to the pitfalls that such a
prolonged policy can produce. The shrinking population that we have
today, is a result of the Two-Child Family.
Yes, the Government of LKY had pushed aside all advise - even
from within his own Elite Cadre Group - that a strong handed
approach will only stifle the political interest in the young,
which will affect the Soul of the Country; limiting the number of
those who will respond with vigor and enthusiastic loyalty into the
political world. Now the need for the talented to join Politics has
to be attracted by the Million Dollar salary.
Yes, the Government of LHL declared that 'THERE WILL BE NO
SACRED COWS' - and yet will meekly turn over the worn out
stones, glancing it, prefering not to disturb these
stones but to replace it in its position - leaving
a stone-hearted policy to be continued despite Singaporeans
calling for its change.
So much for the wherewithall to implement wrong policies in a
willful way despite sound and reasonable voices calling for
reviews.

In the words of your Great Mentor - which I will not make
any clueless attempts to make his ''points'' to become
''blanks'' by bastardising his speech in your style:-
"Let
us get down to fundamentals. Is this an open, or is this a closed
society? Is it a society where men can preach ideas - novel,
unorthodox, heresies, to established churches and established
governments - where there is a constant contest for men's hearts
and minds on the basis of what is right, of what is just, of what
is in the national interests, or is it a closed society where the
mass media - the newspapaers, the journals, publications, TV, radio
- either bound by sound or by sight, or both sound and sight, men's
minds are fed with a constant drone of sycophantic support for a
particular orthodox political philosophy?
Sir, the basic fundamentals we asked ourselves...is whether the
duties of the Minister of Information and Broadcasting are to
produce closed minds or open minds, because these instruments - the
mass media, the TV, the radio - can produce either the open minds
receptive to ideas and ideals, a democratic system of life, or
closed and limited. But I know that the open debate is a painful
process for closed minds...
But let me make this point: that 5 million adult
minds in Malaysia cannot be closed - definitely not in the lifetime
of the people in authority. It is not possible because whatever the
faults of the colonial system, and there are many...they generated
the open mind, the inquiring mind."

show SG is one of the worst!
But to be honest.would u stay or migrated to the countries
which
are ranked more free than SG??
Would you stay in a zoo or would you prefer to be able to roam
the safari and have your choice to spread your noise in some more
tolerant environment ?
Questions
What are the damn uses of the rankings when many people
suffer in the country?
Exactly, is this not one of the favorite past time of your
Talented Government - in their use of Statistics to window dress
the problems faced by Singaporeans ?
Rank Order - Infant mortality
rate

Again,SG is in the bottom.This time,not the worst,but the
best!!
Oh Baby! I can just take NO.1 this Index.
U can take all other NO.1 in other index!!

My friends! This index tell u the overall life in SG.
Are you fooling yourself with this consolation prize ?
Did you not just asked - ''What are the damn uses of the
rankings when many people suffer in the country?"
You can be more appreciated as a stuffed lion that make a
lower decibel noise only when activated.
