Would there be any leader who would refuse this kind of retirement post?I am sure Russia's Putin is also "self-sacrifical" like MM. Control power + get $$$...

Please lah,LKY already got my due respect already, but if he does not step down, he will only have people hating him when he dies as a despot who cannot bear to forgo power.

I dont see the logic in what you are saying. If LKY is still contributing to the country, I dont see why he shouldnt continue being a MM. Plus even if he steps down, I am sure weak minded Singaporeans will still be made to believe he is controlling PM Lee.

To me, these are just stupid excuses which will only make sense to people without common sense.

There are certain things that i don't like about him, but he has made alot of crucial decisions for Singapore's success. I have to admit he is someone difficult for anyone to emulate. His son has a long long way.

Lol.. I've bitched about the certain dynasty and their policies before. But I also acknowledge certain good policies. I try to be rational as much as possible.

I think MM Lee did gave Dr. Chee a good one the other day. He say that Dr. Chee is the one who destoryed SDP. And I think MM is right about it. Just look at SDP today? No one is interested to listen to his speech anymore because he has lost his credibility. Even the Kopitiam auntie and uncle are starting to give up hope on him.

There is no need to fight lah..all we need is just to have a slight balance of power. The only thing I really hate about PAP is to use Upgrading as a carrot to win vote. And fortuntely they failed the last time.

I'm utilitarian in general. If sacrifices have to be made for the greater good, I'm in favour. If you are sacrificed, blame the fact that you aren't good enough. Survival of the fittest. I apply this rationale to myself when i meet failures too. That's how the world works.

PAP has been complacent.

That's y i say WP becoming bigger and stronger will be a boon for all of us. It will force PAP to pull their freaking compacent socks.
