Hey all you wonderful people,
I'm in poly year 2 right now, and I have this crush on a year 1.
We met during an outside camp (not school organized) and talked
quite alot on whatsapp until recently. I can tell she treats me
merely as a friend, but obviously I want to be more than that.
My personality: introvert, i dun hang around in cliques and im
not a party boy. I take relationships seriously, not looking for a
fling. never had a relationship before
So current status: we don't know each other that well
Her b'day's comin up at the end of the month and I plan to get
her a jewelry-type necklace, with the intention of going on 'real
dates' after that rather than 'hanging out with friends session'.
So question 1, is the necklace a good choice of a present?
Now, I told a friend of mine (from China) about this, she said
the present is good but says I should give it to her acting 'as a
friend'. That didn't go down too well with me for obvious reasons.
I think that's the traditional way or whatever, be normal friends
da da da then bring ur relationship up 1 level. Question 2, is
there such a mindset (eg. traditional, westernized)
Problem is, I believe I'm more westernized and more direct. Not
to mention, if I fail to bring the relationship up, I'll be
considered friendzoned. I wouldn't mind giving her the present, ask
her out (or maybe even confess?) even tho we don't know each other
well and see how it pans out from there. Question 3, is this
considered 'too rushing'? Question 4, will this scare her? that's
all, cheers
i'd appreciate proper advice but wouldnt mind a little
banter
