You have a one set mind and with one ideology you judges the
world. No wonder to you it is only your view and another things
else are exceptions. You are unable to look at each case on its own
merit, and you justify violence as desperate measure needed to
achieve political goals, hmm...that's going back to the dark ages,
aren't you?
There is no question that China needs to improve its measures of
dealing with protests. Tiananmen incident is a lesson for them.
America has its fair share of lesson in the Kent State University
shooting, so do the Thais in Bangkok, the Koreans in Kwangju. But
dealing with violent tibetans all out to burn and kill non tibetans
is a totally different matter.
You disregards totally China's claim of sovereignty over tibet,
you are ignoring the feelings of billions of other Chinese in and
outside of China. You can post here until the cows come home, there
will be nothing sensible come out of such one sided argument.
Learn from Joan Chen, the Chinese actress and now an american
citizen, " The US boycott of the 1980 Games in Moscow and the
Soviet boycott of the 1984 Olympics in LA accomplished
nothing....but remember what a little ping pong game did for
Sino US relationships in the 1970s?"
You want to talk about Olympics principle, here is what
she says "lets celebrate the OIympics for what they
are meant to be - a bridge for friendship, not a playground
for politics." that I'd say is the universal moral
principle behind the game.

accomplished nothing???!!!!
It ended the Soviet despots, with their Gulags, rule.
The Moscow games boycott highlighted the fact that despots rule
the Soviet Union and were persecuting opposition and
dissidents.
The LA boycott by the Soviets showed the world that the Soviet
despots were incorrigibles.
If there is a boycott of Beijing 2008, that would be best, to
remind the world that there are despots ruling China... the weak
must gang up to resist despots... or humans would be no better than
animals. Well, it turns out that there are many people (including
the despots in Singapore) willing to sniff the China despots
asses...
