with all due respect, most cars that are considered "fast" are hitting 0-100 km/hr around the 6 sec range. you are saying that yours does 0-60 km/hr in 2.5 secs? did you mod it?

I think what epImetheus meant to use as measurement was 0-100kph. The americans use the 0-60mph as their guage. 60mph is roughly the equalvalent of 100kph.

nope. in metric terms, i mean zero to sixty kilometres per hour(0-60km/h). not 0-60mph
e.g. at traffic junction, my friend and i both floored the accelerator just to see which car can reach 60km faster. on sg roads cannot go up to 100km, over the limit. no laws against accelerating.
anyway, for cars with automatic-tranmission, 0-60km(if really floored accelerator) is normally quite fast. above 60km then, key chai liao Smile

epImetheus, are you sure that timing is right? The best performance I could find for a Primera GT was 0-60 mph in 8 seconds.

0-60km/h in 2.5s?I guess you gotta add a couple of seconds to include reaction timing. Smile

i ended the timing once the needle passed the 60 mark. maybe it is inaccurate. Embarassed

yea, think quite inaccurate. need a timer, once you start the timer, then floor it. not vice-versa. It does affect a few seconds.

i did 0-100 in 8 secs in my fit, in steershift mode. decided not to modify further. the fit's engine space is sad. Decided to save cash. Anyone here driving a yrv turbo? or a ignis sport? or a mini S? wanna know if the pickup is good. There's a fast yellow ignis sports that too part in a recent smsa event. Anyone seen it?

hard to debate over how fast to reach 60km/h (personnal view)
my friend drive a modded S15,when he floor,the rear wheel spin lik hell,car never move much but can hit 60km/h.........

lik i drive a old prelude,fixed a blitze fatt ddc timer, can see the rev,speed vs time...i floor acc,from 0km/h to 60km/h also bout 4+5 sec....
i feel is if debating over how fast to reach 60km/h,best is floor,let wheel snin & spin"....easier to reach certain speed in a shorter time cos tyre no need to move over the distance of road to reach 60km/h mah...
but also...if wan to test wid a vehicle bside u,u spin wheel,yes, speed is faster den him at that point in time but distance travelled no same...get my point?
