lady and the gentersman many many, i like to askwhat happens when loyalty , forexamper, to a company is based on money? is there loyalty in this respect? if...

A nation cannot grow strong without a sense of belonging and loyalty....

Why are our people only care abt their own pocket, don't they realise WU GUO means WU JIA?

We cannot expect everyone be like YUE FEI or MULAN but at least care about your family, neighbours and friends...don't chase them away when they are down cause one day you may be down then who can help you?

All migrate liao cause fellow sporeans are too self centered

Take it from our PM, money equates to loyalty, the more money you pay the Ministers the more loyalty you will get.

Down here we cannot produce a washington or even Sun yat sen...mark my words if we keep going on this path..our island state can never be a great country a beacon of light not only in south asia but whole asia

Catknight SG

Do you know some PRC people said we are fools? If they do that in HK and taiwan, they will get whacked,.,.our ppl no balls liao

a country needs cultural history. knowing your ancestors lived and died by the sides of those of the people you still live with goes a longer way in nation building than singing the anthem and taking the pledge a million times.

got money is equal to loyalty liao

Catknight SG

Multiculturism by believing in everything ends up believing in nothing..

Last time I heard that a DJ here migrated citing it's too rojak here

While I believe in a pluralistic society, multicultural ones tend to watered down various cultures making us all the same but weak in our traditions and roots

joshua182 SG

money buys merceneries and it always has. naturally since the government itself equates money to loyalty, people go for the highest bidder.. and thus.. migrate..

Catknight SG

Look at Japan, taiwan, south korea and even HK...all have strong cultures at least in rural areas..what we have here? Chingay festival? hoorays for youth olymoics then what?

Fads and trends come and go, cultural breadth and depth is what glued the society together

Catknight SG

SG during British colonial days have lion and dragon dancings, firecrackers strong cultural traditions with guilds and clans..we are stronger and more confident though less educated in the western sense....

What we have now??

even here in oz, where i met up with some singaporeans here, the cohesion among us as singaporeans are pathetic. we are not united and in fact, inverse nationalist.
