Singapore public transport service just sucks when compared to
bus service in Germany. Not that it is very very much cheaper than
public transport in Germany when we consider it as a percentage of
salary earned.
And when the public transport system is so lousy, the following
still happens:
1) raise fares. Reason given is to improve service, of which
hasn't even seen much improvements over the last few hikes
2) increasing COEs, raising ERPs. They want to make private
transport more expensive when the public transport cannot
accodomate enough people during the very peak hours? Maybe they
want private transport one day to be most accessible only to those
who earn more than a million a year?
