yes u can. just whether the society want it or not.
perhaps, all are accustomed to cheap food and labour.
for household, there is a thing called washing machine and dish
washer.
for construction, prefab is the way to go.
but everyone want big profit margin, easy exploitable labour. so it
is from top down, if the top brass of the social hierachy can
exploit downward, it wont stop there and it will permeate to the
lowest level. u can see foreign workers living in deplorable
conditions. companies that deal in supplying foreign are of doughy
character, and they couldnt care less about the well being of
others.
i have seen; foreign worker doing wielding at amk WITHOUT eye
protection glasses!! i walked up to him and demand to see his
supervisor. how can he jeopardise his eyesight over this??!
another case was another foreign workers trying to install a
traffic light. the apparatus slipped and sliced part of his
finger's flesh. i was shocked and rush a rag cloth to him, he was
in agony and i believe his colleagues could have rush him to a
nearby clinic.
in NCS, we worked long hours and occassionally, i saw NCS and SCS
programmers in the data center at 3am!! wth, the have been working
in this manner for weeks! where is the sanctity of human working
environment, where is the consideration for the workers well being?
nothing! all here is about exploiting the people for a quick
buck.
if u reflect closely and look around, NS, reservist, GRC, ERP, CPF,
foreign workers, foreign "talent"...
