When you moved to Jurong, was Tenah Air Base and all the low
flying jets there already? if they came after you moved in, you can
complain. if not, those were existing conditions, you made your
choice.
I guarantee you they will never "smack" an airbase in the middle of
Toa Payoh, or Shenton Way.
How long have you stayed in Singapore? Residents in Paya Lebar have
similar issue, from civilian aircraft to military aircraft.
Residents near seletar airbase, now enduring only the noise of some
small planes, later when RR moved, the testing of engines would be
some noise they may have to endure.
Some people have to endure the noise of MRT with the track just
outside their window but the station is about 500 m away. In Toa
Payoh some residents never open their window facing the PIE because
of noise......if you live in the jungle you have to endure
occasional visits of monkeys into your kitchen and snake into your
bathroom, while you enjoy the quiet environment.
Take it with a lighter heart, for military enthusiasts, living near
Tenah Airbase always enable me to witness the latest military
planes visiting the country. It used to be the F14 of the USN, F15
of the UNAF, F18 and F111 from the OZ, now I watch the Typhoon, the
Rafale... I even saw the C5, the largest plane. Quite
interesting.
By the way, some planes make louder noise, like the F15, twin
engined, more noise than the F16. But soon we will have our own
F15, I think they would be noiser.
Get used to it, friend, or you have to move out, for your own
health, ....to Australia??
