deathbait SG no doubt? the only thing here is doubt. How can you say there is no doubt? Have you read the transcript? I haven't, and I'm filled with doubt. If you have no idea what MM Lee said, and you claim no doubt, you are UNDOUBTEDLY biased.
deathbait SG of course it matters. You just claimed things would be different if we were there...and you're now admitting you don't know anything that really happened.
Poh Ah Pak SG Thus, Singapore is in the unique position of having a majority who don't believe they have a free press and are not bothered by it.Sad to see my fellow Singaporeans being brainwashed by the Singapore mainstream propaganda media. Nice job PAP regime. Very nice. But you didn't get me. You didn't get me at all. You can fool all of the people some of the time. You can fool some of the people all the time. But you can't fool all the people ALL the time, PAP regime.
deathbait SG If every journalist that was fired was writing with such obvious unethical bias, I'm not exactly sorry to see them go. Before you flame me, I'm saying IF.
maurizio13 SG I find it hard to believe coming from you. You epitomize bias to the extreme, any post that is against the government, you will retort to the extreme without understanding the merits of the case. You are bias too. Aren't you the proverbial pot calling the kettle black?
maurizio13 SG In all respect, Singapore deserves whatever the regime serves out to them. I have no qualms about it, I just hope for more increases across the board. The more increases the merrier.
deathbait SG nope, i defend the guy who stands accused without evidence. It just happens that on this forum, it is usually the government. I'm bias only if I continue to defend them when sufficient evidence is submitted. No one has yet been able to give submit a transcript of the conversation that proves him guilty. And I refuse to believe the "boh-tua-bo-suay" was an actual quote from Mr George Yeo IN THIS CONTEXT. Show me otherwise and I will go away. Till evidence is shown otherwise, I remain the defender of the innocent. You on the other hand are the accuser taking cheap shots with marginal evidence at best.
LazerLordz SG Read again. I said I have been to other similar events where he gave interviews. Unless you might want to claim by association that LKY's opinions of the press sway like the wind that by not going for this particular event, things change irrevocably.. Get off your high horse lah, defender of the innocent... what the heck. Maybe you should watch more Monty Python's sketches, especially the ones about King Arthur.
maurizio13 SG I recall "fymk" telling us about a session during JC days. fymk asked some questions that were especially caustic, it came to the point where fymk was ask her NRIC and other personal details. From then on, fymk knows that these sessions aren't what they appear to be.
maurizio13 SG I think there was a televised discussions with students in the past. I recalled that MM gave students the opportunity to ask questions. There was this student who asked something quite unfavourable to MM, I think he kind of like threatened that student. It was something like "you like me to die?!?!" in a threatening demeanour. That's as close to proof as citizens could get, given that our local media is manipulated.
deathbait SG perhaps you would like to offer the transcript of the interview, or even the date so it can be tracked down?
deathbait SG high horse? nay.(pardon the pun) I just say it like i see it. I notice you have sidestepped my request for official transcripts. Even a date would do. Which event did you attend, and what did he say? I'm not about to just take you for your word. It's not hard to give me an event and date. Perhaps even a quote? Or is your memory suddenly fuzzy?
drawer SG He think he is above the law,its not a matter of fact.Outside this tiny little island,Lee Kuan Yew will behave like a "mouse"!!!!
^tamago^ SG This has seriously gone off-topic due to someone's insistence for some proof. Hey, isn't this all too familiar already? Why are we feeding the troll?
maurizio13 SG He tried to sue Devan Nair in Canada, got rejected by the Supreme Court there. SM Lee Kuan Yew lost a motion against Globe and Mail, and Devan Nair in the Ontario Superior Court. Read the judgement.
DrTech SG I like people who rattle the cages... It is not advantageous to have someone sit in a high position comfortably for too long... but, we already did that.
royston_ang SG Oh, really? And were YOU there in person in all the news report in ST? So all the news in ST are bullsh it?
