Be careful. If you're racing on one side, there's possibly
another car racing in the opposite direction. If both cars just
touch each other.. 
Just earlier this week, I took the opportunity to to go up and down
at least 5 times (my client is located nearby).
Most corners are quite ok, and if you let your car drift a little,
you'll get a little tyre squeal and inner wheel spinning. Mostly
when cornering above 80kmh. Too bad that most of the time, there's
traffic that forces us to slow down. 
On why from Science park it's faster.... that's because it's mostly
downhill, and from Pasir Panjang it's uphill. Don't forget that
you're racing ON Kent Ridge which is somewhat of a
hill-cum-knoll.
BTW, a few weeks ago, an EVO (From SMC) crashed there. Even 4WD not
enough to save you when you lose traction completely, so drive
fast, But drive SAFE
