What kind of R. statement is this?
No live excercise, but real bloody war that we sporeans dun even
dare to think or talk about..but when the time comes, no western
power will come to our aid..we have to do it ourselves..can our
troops really defend and repel?
I believe our troops can defend Singapore
We are a participant in the Five-Power Defence Arrangement
Under this arrangement, joint military and naval maneuvers are held
annually
With Australia, Malaysia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom
Other than that Singapore maintains relationships
With the armed forces of Brunei, France, Thailand, Taiwan and the
US
Primarily for the purpose of training.
When we train with other experienced armies
We gauge our own training and theirs
We take note of their strengths and weaknesses
And also take note of our own strengths and weaknesses
I'd would say that Singapore army is good enough already
I don't know if you guys saw a news clip that aired last year
The SAF sent a contingent to the US for a live 3G excercise
A high ranking US colonel/general? commented that he was impressed
with the contingent's capabilities
But no matter how technologically good an army is
It'd collapse under an inferior one if the soldiers aren't
psycologically motivated.
When war comes, would Singaporean males be motivated?
