Dr Who SG Original FLAG of SINGAPORE......? Flag of Singapore found in the Polish Yearbook Swiat w Przekroju from 1960/61 I prefer this flag. What do you think?
LazerLordz SG Interesting. This would have looked pretty good if Singapore had become an independant Republic under the Queen as Head of State. Maybe things might have been good but in a different way?
LazerLordz SG Here's my impression of a hypothetical flag for a State of Singapore, similar to Australia as an independent Republic with the Queen as Head of State. (Perhaps in a parallel universe) This should look quite nice.
Xtrider SG why do they recognise the queen as a head of state anyway? so that means the queen has some sort of power over them still?
LazerLordz SG Ceremonial role, but the Governor-General of Australia may dissolve Parliament if needed in an emergency. This power has only been exercised once in recent times (20th century). It works for Australia.
