tripwire SG the images above... seems to indicate that the malaysia claim to pedra branca is in direct contradiction to their malaysian constituition article 169. it is clear from the sentence... "addressed to the british adviser, johor" that the johor state secretary is writing on behalf of the british powers (which malaysia claim to be in charge after the 1948 treaty) with regard to the "STATUS" (not transfer of sovereignty or ownership as malaysia claimed) of pedra branca. singapore team have until 30th november 2007 to answer to judge keith question on the 1953 letter with respect to the malaysian claim on 22 nov 2007, that the johor state secretary is not authorised to issue such a disclaimer over pedra branca.
CX SG There's been many things said over the past month that's inconsistent with established facts, good taste and common sense. I just found the Malaysian side's constant re-iteration of geography to support its claim that middle rocks and south ledge are separate features absolutely baffling Its 3 pieces of rock within a stone's throw of each other for christ sakes! And to insist that they are "navigable channels" between them, therefore, they are separate features? OMG! Please! And to suggest that if they can be navigated at low tide, then they MUST also be navigable at high tide Someone forgot to tell them that if they're rocks, u'll much rather see them and sail around them at low tide then to try and sail over them and hope for the best at high tide...
