This man makes a good point, I don't see why there is a need to
shoot him down.
Indeed, we are being pushed to work harder and harder by the govt.
Lower wage, longer hours, longer years, work till you die. All
these are possible only because the people are too wimpy and simply
along the govt to have their way. For our own good, the govt says,

However, your point about fake meritocracy seems a little
far-fetched. I am not aware, but even if schools decide to admit
students based on their ties with politician, there is nothing
really wrong. Schools are given more autonomy today for
discretionary admission, and this is their right.
As for white horses, it's probably to prevent the next lee hong yi,
but i am not sure. Again, these policies can be forced down our
throat because our good people do nothing.
