LKY has said it very publicly
before - and also in his memoirs - that he has observed people
living in the northern hemisphere are more productive, creative,
alert, and attributed these characteristics to the lower
temperatures that help the grey matters in intellectual and
physical output without feeling tired.
While those living in the equatorial regions will somehow have a
slower pace of lifestyle, being less productive and more lethargic
- all due to the high temperatures and-or humidity levels that
affected the productivity, creativity and mental activity.
He compared the higher industrial and economic developments and
achievements from the Northern Hemisphere to the Southern
Hemisphere.
It was said that the room temperature in his office is at 16
degrees C, about the temperature in Europe during Autumn.
Unfortunately, the low temperature in the Singapore Parliament has
produced too few honest Members of Parliament that are able to
speak honestly, and are prevented to exercise their individual
freedom but forced by the Party Whip to tow the Party line when
issues come to a vote.
At the end of the day, it will be Singaporean's tax monies that
will pay for the electricity bills, besides the coffee and pastry
during their breaks.
Singaporeans will be happy to foot the Electricity Bills - as well
as the muffins, coffee and tea - so long as these Members of
Parliament can actually represent Singaporeans' interest first,
before they support their Party's.
