towing cars away is one thing. threatening to throw you bike into the rubbish dump is illegal. u can pay a fee and claim back your car. who will make sure ur bike will still be at the rubbish dump?

You can rest easy. For the moment, it hasn't even gone to serious towing yet. No way will our law enforcement start removing cars for the scrap heap. It bothers the economy....

Towing away car is troublesome,so i believe they don't tow car away.The notice can be a threat to car owners not to park there.

Yes, my question is hypothetical and is not real but surely u can know your feeling under the hypothetical situation.

After SMRT put up the no bike signs,there are still bicycles parking there.The reasons are: maybe some cyclists didn't see the notice or they saw others park there so they followed or they just park there for a shortwhile.

Of course there are cylcist dare not park there.So they park right across the walls.The staff haven't put up no bike notice there yet!

1 bicycle park there doesn't create any problem.There would be problem if too many bicyles parking there.So the easy solution for the SMRT is to put a no parking of bikes notice there.

I believe they should put up a notice that only one single file of bicycles can be parked there and action will be taken for parking disorderly.

Everybody know that many shopkeepers put their goods in public corridor indiscrimately but the town councils don't seem able to solve the problem.If a biclye parked there and get that kind of notice,then the officer concerned has double standards.

somehow, they are more tolerance to shop keeper. It is true that shopkeeper are able to display their good at the expense of safety.. look at the recent fire incident.. lives were lost !!!!

Isn't that always true? Everyone is wrong about something. If we see wrong, we either speak up and are hypocrites or we stay silent and allow the wrong. I'd rather get the faults, mine and theirs, fixed than let all wrongs escape free.

If the staff of town councils issue warning notices to shopkeepers who display good on corridors similarly to the (high handed) notice issue to the cyclist who parked at a undesignated place,the problem should be solved long ago!

On the positve side,they nip problem in the bud -- such that they become unreasonable.

my town council no power.
I complain twice that my neighbour smoke in the lift cause I saw it with my own eye and he smoked in front of me. I asked him to stop and he will do the mouthing of my words and act immature in front of his also smoking wife and 3 -4 kids. He's a bloody gangster. Town council did nothing.

Unauthorised places are usually common property. These areas are usually maintened by the town council. If everybody thinks like you and start parking their bikes all over the place, can you imagine how difficult it is to maintain the common areas?

Yes, town council has the right to remove your property if you fail to heed the notices.

I note cyclists can park their bikes in town council properties but can’t park in MRT station indiscrimately—even when the location is empty and hardly used.

A community club has a no entry notice for m/cycle & bicycle.It is a big compound,but the managemenst think that small bicycles are not allowed to park inside.Only think of themselves and not others.This is the attitude of the CC.

Can you name the places you want to be allowed to park you bicycle.
I see you are angry you cannot park in MRT stations and Community Centres.

You want parking to be improved. Are you willing to pay?
Can be done you know. Coupon parking for bicycles.
Also pay extra, can have uncle valet park for you.

Control yourself, and park properly lah.
If everybody do so, there will be no problem.
The TC only goes after those who suka suka park anywhere.
Its their job. Because there are other people, who complain that bicycles are being parked helter skelter.
