khali SG "Hnin could have been jailed for up to two years or fined or jailed and fined." Its strange that she was not even jailed a single day for taking 2 lives. Only got fined.
Atobe SG Singaporean's Life is worth no more then $200 a month after 75 years, how much more will it be worth at a younger age ? The Elite Life of the Government is worth millions per year, and if you should cheat them, it is obvious you have to pay more.
t_a_s SG the law is biased, you killed 2 persons only 7K fine, but u stab somebody and he is dead, you will go to the gallow
4getmenot SG obviously, it means that running down a person while driving entitles you to a small fine while tax evasion entitles you to both jail term and a heavy fine.. i guess avoiding tax is a more serious offence than reckless driving resulting in a death.. in singapore..
t_a_s SG two death doesn't affect the government but evading tax does affect the government, that is the judge's thinking
zenden9 SG Not really! If u knock down a CEO of a big entreprises. Even a minor injuries to him can cost u time in prison... Big CEO injure and he will not have enough time to make more money and contribute to Sg gov income tax... But under SG laws, peasant lives are expendable!
