What can MP's do for us

I am just curious what are the duties of MPs when most of the time, they can’t represent our ideas and opinions. All the laws are passed by parliament and they can’t even alter it to suit ideas brought up by the constituents. All the dialogues like recent one about the funeral hub, ERP just went unheeded because planning is already done ago, they can’t accept your proposals, so what is the use of dialogues and forums. Altho I am super white supporter, I cannot help but also admit

I not sure the role and responsibilities of MPs hired.

I not sure also what are the accomplishments they have month after month for their people. Just meet people?

Other than that, what is their strategic importance and role and things they ought to do?

Like everyone working, they are paid to do a job. So, what activities are they doing for the people? Any clocking of activities? No ? then based on what is their KPI? Performance indicators? Who and how are they measured ? People who get a salary usually have very clearly defined responsibilities and KPIs set for them to achieve. What is theirs? I see a handful of MPs talking only. what happen to the rest? What is their KPI? Who appraises them to keep them motivated to work for the people? Auto-pilot? Sacrifice themselves for the people??? I think lor. no meh?

most of the MP's are arrogant, I dont like the group of post '65 MP's. Can't fight and contribute. MP's are suppose to represent the people, because they are elected by the people

The thing I like about MP is their visits to my estate. They should visit my estate more often. The more the better. Because the town council will wash my corridor before they come. Very Happy This is the only useful thing about them. Laughing

They can teach, or guide you, on how BEST to ABIDE by the PAP Rules & or Policies...

you can forget anything else....

most MPs are useless, only those who are ministers like MM Lee, PM Lee, SM Goh and a handful of others, the other 70+ MPs are just uesless.

simple requests they also cannot grant it.
