imagine this.
today u r good mood when you visit your customer, you mention "ok i
cost down for you soon" upon customer request.
when you go back home and calculate your commision and cost, you
realise you cannot make a profit. so you inform your customer,
"sorry cannot cost down" coz price of oil high, labour cost high"
so i had to postphone your cost down to a time when i can make a
profit. will your customer say, never mind la, not his fault coz
his father dont own oil well or will your customer screw you upside
down?

Well in 2002 (yes, 5 years ago), the Health Minister promised to
"Complete Jurong General Hospital by 2006".
Then 2007.
Then 2008.
This construction price is just another excuse in a long string of
excuses.
If he had kept his promise originally, the hospital would have been
fully built even before our sand supply got cut off.
Besides, how come the Integrated Resort no problem in continuing?
You think what will happen to if the IR people suddenly say "sorry
cannot cost down" coz price of oil high, labour cost high". Our
dear gahmen sure sue their pants off big time.
And see what happen to UNSW when they say "students not enough, can
delay intake or not?" Hounded left right centre by EDB.
But when our Health Minister turn to suka suka delay, no problem.
All sort of crap excuse also can.
After all, cater to foreign high rollers more important than health
care of poor Singaporeans.
