that there is only 3 months more before it can happen, or it will
be next year. If not, then it's another hearsay.

This first surfaced a week ago.
Apparently there has been concern over the lack of leadership
material for the post of PM in the present lot. This came to a head
as result of the annuities issue. Unfortunately the leading
candidate is no longer firm and 3 others do not qualify, one on
age.
Rather than wait until 2011 and loose the opportunity to test and
groom a candidate, the desire to have an by-elections by next year
is on the cards.
My bet is that it will be a repeat of the Teo Chee Hean affair with
the Marine Parade By Elections. This time around will it be Ang Mo
Kio and is there an MP to be expended?
