The moral of the story is :

Support the "those-in-power" and you shall be taken care off........even if you make some silly mistake. But step on their toes ..............and you shall lose the last pair of pants that you have.

They let the courts decide Durai's fate but they tell the courts what to do with CSJ.

This case is a case where people's power prevails. If not for the fact that the public was totally outraged such wrong doings as were committed by Durai in NKF today would still be entrenched with ministers Lim Hng Khiang or Khaw Boon Wan or some other ministers giving some excuses to cover up all the wrongs.

It does not take genius to find some reasons to excuse him of his wrong doings.

Well, at least the public outrage towards Durai and his ilk has been shown to bear some fruit. That's a very big achievement I think considering the Singapore context. Durai himself would never have been chased away from the NKF trough without some elite's help so this does indicate that there are *some* people in the upper echelons of society who have reached some sort of breaking point wrt the parasitism that has plagued Singapore society for some time.

The golden handshake thing is regrettable but probably can't be helped. Durai after all did enrich himself greatly with ill gotten gains and has probably a wide connection of rich friends. I'm sure that if anything were to happen to him we'll read about it in the papers or something. After all, the belief in some kind of karmic retributive force is also good for national development, is it not?

I do believe in good Karma. That is when good deeds brings good future.
I do not believe in bad Karma. There is a dictator Kim who never suffer from bad Karma directly and Karma never visit them for many decades in a row.

it is a fact that one can get only 3 months + a good job as a criminal. even an un-educated and ignorant home-maker can tell that justice is "CORRUPTED".
