Evil regime? That's a massive understatement... 
Think about it : this is just a modern version of slavery. Through
inducing means to enslave you so that you'd be working your life
off to service debts and other financial obligations (from
mortgages for over-inflated public housing leases
conveniently known as "ownerships" to state-induced inflations
exponentially outweighing the rate of natural inflation), how could
an average middle-income chap, through making an honest living,
realistically expect to escape from the clutches of such slavery to
attain financial independence?
After all, the only difference between gangsters and this regime is
the latter having the constitutional backing to carry out their
activities... On the basis of that,
it's hard to believe there could actually be bigger organised
criminals than rogue governments.
