This is because the local media has been too successful in
portraying him as a madman trying all means to destroy Singapore.
He can't explain himself thru local media or get permission to hold
rally to defend himself. If the media condemn you again and again,
sooner or later, the man on the street will believe that you are
indeed what is said in the media whether it is true or not.
In the video, the interviewer asked why he don't just get out of
politic, move oversea and live a comfortable life? And his reply is
that that's the cowardly way. Seriously, there's nothing much for
him to gain from going against the gov. It's much more easier to
join the PAP and become a "yes man".
