Mat Toro SG That sounds a bit more reasonable, but criticism must be constructive, not nonsensical like we see on this forum. don't fall into the rob teh or chee mode. They are so silly.
eagle SG PAP leaders good? Possible... only the top few... But if you tell me that all 80+ are good? I don't think so. Many are in just because of GRCs, and not because of their own charisma and popularity.
(human) SG Gazelle and Mat Taro maybe your boots licking skills can please your master but not in this forum. Go tell your master it won't works here.
Mat Toro SG charisma and personality is not in my criteria of good. why don't you form a ;party to poll made up of superstars and see if you win?
miserable SG LKY may or may not think that the present leadership team is inferior compared to the old guards. There is no real benchmark to base on. But one thing from i can see, they are one bunch of highly overpaid politicians. Of course, the new bunch of groupie had the world best excuse to justified their new policies. Examples as of 1) Raise GST(consumption tax) by 2 % (fuel the rate of inflation) to help the poors. 2) Raise their paycheck by est 20% as so that they will not be corrupted Therefore given a choice, not taking oppositions parties into consideration. I would much prefer the old guards (Mr Lim Kim San, Mr Goh Keng Swee,Mr Ong Teng Cheong, Mr Toh Chin Chye etc) for their socio economical polices to the current bunch.

They did the right things inspite of you complaining and hating them. Thats the mark of a great leaders. Therefore given a choice, not taking oppositions parties into consideration. will4 SG The problem faced by the old guard is entirely different n somewhat more challenging compared to the present team.
blueheeler SG whether the current cabinet is as good as the pioneers is something for ‘history’ to judge, isn’t it? in the very least, it’s not for MM to judge the quality of the cabinet that he has somehow had a hand in picking, right?
will4 SG It is true to let history judge but the challenges they faced today is certainly not easy especially keeping economic growth.
miserable SG Hi Joe, I have taken your advice of ignoring that simpleton (Toro). How can we argue economics with a fool who cannot even differential cost of living and standard of living.
miserable SG -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Of course, the new bunch of groupie had the world best excuse to justified their new policies. With the increase in revenue, what new implementations had been decided to help the poors ? Can you kindly please enlighten.

[/b]If you are smart enough you would have wait till PM Lee give his NDP rally speech before asking this question.
miserable SG Jolly well said......with 2 days to go.....Your "Great Leader" better say something on this else you will be pawned by him and not us here. Maybe he might say "You, the peasants are to work til 65 else no CPF for ya !!! BTW anyone who fails to make nomination on their CPF.should he goes ahead of times. The former will have his CPF deem under gahment reserves as this is to help the poors. "
Gazelle SG It is so obvious that whiners like you are just like empty vessel who have no clue about what is going on in Singapore. 1) Rally speech has always been the eve of NDP, so it is tomorrow, not 2 days to go. If you have used your little brain to think, you would have know that is it impossible and pointless to conduct a rally speech during the national parade. 2) If PM Lee is not your leader, may I know who is? I hope it is not some forumers here.....
sir sickolot II SG i'm for the more moderate stance with regards to our leaders, and prefer to take the view's of Lazer Lords. You can see for yourself what is happening in our region and for that matter, it's also good to feel the ground ( for yourself) about the issues regarding Singaporeans and not just base your comments/opinions on media reports, blogs, posts etc Once you have seen many perspectives on the issue, then you can make a more solid stand in favour or otherwise about local politics. Having been in a country with a one party dominance for the past 40 odd years, I feel we are becoming increasingly desensitised to the global changes and the issues that are facing the masses. Yes, we as 'the man in the street' are not understanding what is happening around us. You could blame our pro government media, or you could blame yourself. Whatever the case is, i think it's wise to take a step back, look at the situation locally and globally and assess for yourself how favourable is the local political scene. Just my thoughts.
miserable SG Sir Sickolot II, well i see and understand your point of view. Franky speaking,I am not hardcore Anti PAP or that sort. I am just disagreeable with their recent policies and their justification on its implementation. I dealed with global economies for almost more than 18 years mainly G7 and some emerging markets. Of all these years, I came to learn something that is more fearsome that most of us actually realized i.e inflation and the disparities between the richs and the poors. It is the love of the country that we comment else why bother. If the Pro PAP camp as of Gazelle and Toro,OM be able provides more factual findings instead of mindless blabbering, I will definitely gives much respect. Of course. not the likes of Lionnoisy who gives stats, bashing other countries. This in return gaining the adverse effects instead of the supposedly feel good ones. At times, i do wonder if the Pro PAP camp here, are actually Anti government supporters playing the reverse psychological roles
miserable SG Huh, me whiner ??? Hmm.....okay, whiner that i shall be then, At least thats better than the a whining panty sniffing bloke named Gazelle. Do i really care if it is today or tomorrow ? What we want is to see the result, what are the implementation and not lip services. Dude, LHL is not my leader. He is the prime minister elected by the public to head the government. If he is to lead you by the leash, so be it. Frankly speaking, I dun give a damn.
miserable SG I wonder why too ? So many "good people" and yet, none is good enough to be the Finance Minister. hmmm....ponder ponder
