I have a certain interest in Obama especially his approach to politics has been a lot less confrontational than most politicians I have read of. However, it is a little early to say how things will turn out. Perhaps if Al Gore ran, he'd be my choice, though I hope he takes a different approach to foreign policy even compared to Clinton, particularly the European side as the Clinton Administration messed up relations with Russia rather badly and further exacerbated by the current administration although it did not become as apparent as it is now. Then again, there are a lot of hidden factors in the whole affair.

Ultimately to me, it is a toss up between Obama and Hillary, and Gore if he should choose to run. Anything but a Republican because they have been utter assholes of late.

Possibly. Obama as Vice President and Clinton as President isn't too far fetched an idea. Helps capture a wide spectrum of votes.

Obama's role is to capture the American Joe/Jane's yearning for a breath of fresh air and sincerity. Not to mention the swing vote over how America runs her foreign policy at the moment.

Externally, it would make a good PR moment for having the first African-American Vice-President/President, who happens to also speak Bahasa Indonesia as a kid and has actually lived in SEA.

Hillary likely to win in 08. It doesn't matter that she achieved nothing as a senator and carries a lot of old baggage.

Achievement is important to conservatives, not to liberals. Thats where Obama gets his support from.

both sides don’t make majority cos there is a huge crowd that are either non partisan or bochap. These can be swayed by issues in the running up to the polls if they do show up to vote.

the problem with these people is, the are the vocal minority so the candidates will tend to pander to them early before the primaries and then turn centrist for the presidential run later. but go too left and liberal and they may be accused of flip flopping later.

Personally I think it will be a mistake for Hiliary to run cos in washington politics alot of old unresolve issue from Bill will creep up. But since she is running as the first Female commander in chief and people are voting for it. I do believe the True test in voting for Hiliary is during voters cast the vote, The reality is when people start seeing Bill more often what would they remember.

Obama raise a lot of $$ he has that financial capacity to go thru the end. He has the demeanor in his speech. If you listen carefully when he speaks he always fall back into the history of US civil liberty within context. That helps to get support from both parties member. Obama may also be the right profile to be the next chief for 2 reasons. First he doesn't have the excess baggage that Hiliary is carrying from Bill that I think is important. The future foreign policy that needs attention will be coming out from Africa and the middle east. Than again the show is still early into

Obama doesn't have a track record to talk about.
He has so far been non specific about anything. Thsi is a deliberate startegy to cover up his weaknesses but he will have to do better once the primaries debates start.
