gorby107 SG Today, I went to Kovan and saw members of the Workers' Party having their walkabout in that area and was selling their Hammer newsletter to the public at a cost of $1.00 Also there was Sylvia Lim and Low Thia Kiang Most of the people went over to buy their newsletter and some gave them more than $1.00 like $5 and $10 and tin was full This show that the public are more open to the opposition and will not give them the don't look at them and walk away tactic. I also went to purchase it and Mr Low smiled at me The articles in the newsletter are quite interesting to read on. I think that PAP should have more of this, and not just seeing them on the news...
ditzy SG Georgie will tell you he's too busy overseas to do stupid things like stand outside kovan heartland mall to sell flyers for 1 buck per piece.
Quincey SG That's if Aljunied is still around next time round..hehe.. Anyway it's nice to see them coming out, stretching their legs.
sgdiehard SG WP members don't come out only before election. This is a regular thing for WP, not for legs stretching.
sir sickolot II SG they should come to PAP territory too ma... me in PAP area very sad, can't get to see WP or any other opposition party.
Melvin Tan SG This is on every Sunday, from 8.30 am, in different parts of S'pore. WP was at the older Hougang last Sunday and Ang Mo Kio is where it will be on the next. Kovan is a "PAP area". Regards
Inzaghi SG think pple wont mind buying WP newsletter cos they make some sense at least.unlike tat Dr Chee one
Beyond Religion SG They also regularly give out a lot of freebies (rice, bread, breakfast, goceries etc.) to the elderly living near Hougang area.
zix1 SG a good sign. WP is respectable , but can't speak the same about the other oppositions. as for the pap, they have enough public appearance.
