stop playing the racial sentiment here. let me tell you this, in Singapore, or in any hotels in China, if I see any chinese woman wondering around alone, with eyes looking out for people, I suspect they would come up to offer their service. 10 years ago, I would be 100% correct, today, probably 80%. Singaporean would rely more of fellow Singaporean of other ethnic groups other than PRC chinese. You got the drift now!!! Just because we are all chinese majority doesn't mean that we are expectedd to be buddy buddy..... because we have different Historical References, grow up different environment, different school system.

To make it even simplier it is easy for us to go out and appreciate Indian food, malay food, and chinese food. For PRC individual u grow up with a single choice.

Public holidays are base on culture diversity, not nationalistics event.

First look, usually 80% correct, when they speak, 100% correct.

The angmoh can't tell the difference between the korean, japanese or chinese. Asian can't tell the difference between a french and a british. I bet you can't tell the difference between a afgan and a singh. But, a German will tell you if another German comes from the north or the south, because he has since enough of them to tell the difference.

Get to know more and understand the chinese outside china, you will tell how we can tell the difference

Hmm.... my ancestor came from China, which was a democratic country called ROC. Lucky they left China before the communists took over. So they learned the real Chinese language, the fan ti, and because they didn't have to go through the cultural revolution, I inherited the real chinese culture. They also never have to participate in the "fan huan tong" movement, so I grow up in a traditional chinese family...... Mr. Green if you changed the language, the culture and the tradition, you are less of the original Chinese as I am. So does it matter if our ancestors came from the same place? Embarassed Smile
