SINGAPORE: The Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore has
reminded Pulau Ubin residents that they can only keep a maximum of
10 poultry per household.
And, these birds must be properly caged to prevent them from direct
contact with wild birds.
Residents have been given two weeks to get rid of any excess
poultry, failing which the AVA wil step in and remove them.
AVA warned this in a directive issued on Wednesday to the island's
residents.
With the resurgence of bird flu in the region, authorities want to
make sure precautions put in place on Pulau Ubin are maintained. -
