Why haven't I heard of them? Since they're not mainstream most
people don't really know about them, and since they hardly get any
airplay they probably won't be well known within the next couple of
years.
Just who is My Life With The Thill Kill Kult? My Life With the
Thrill Kill Kult is a Chicago based band first signed to the
Waxtrax record label in 1987. At first My Life With The Thrill Kill
Kult was supposed to be a movie, so the main members of the group,
Groovie Mann and Buzz McCoy, went to the heads of Waxtrax records
trying to convice them to fund their movie. The people at Waxtrax
didn't really have a strong interest in the movie, after hearing
the soundtrack however, they made a record deal with My Life With
the Thrill Kill Kult thus this being the beginning of the Thrill
Kill Kult.
Just who makes up this My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult? The band
has two main members, Groovie Mann (Frank Nardello, lead vocals and
lyrics) and Buzz McCoy (Marston Daley, vocals, lyrics and guitar).
Also, in the Thrill Kill Kult are the Bomb Gang Girlz. They are
Jackie Blacque (vocals), Cinderella Pussie (vocals) and Arena Rock
(vocals).
Just what kind of music does My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult
play? It depends on who you ask, when the Thrill Kill Kult first
began, they were an industrial band, on the chigaco WaxTrax record
label. Now they're a mix of not only industrial but gothic, disco,
pop, house, dance, funk and metal. My Life With The Thrill Kill
Kult are truly one of a kind.
