Good for ya.... i juz went to bali in May....3D2N at hard rock cafe hotel. kuta beach sand...veri veri fine....the surfers there...veri veri good-looking one.... one thing i dun like about there then...lotsa lotsa road digging along the road...can imagine lar huh? after the bombing.... you going on a package tour? or free & easy? duno about others...my sense is that if you've not been to that place before and has the intention to reach there then secure a inbound tour...is a hassle and a good waste of time. When i went there with friends, we were exactly in that predicament. Hence, din get to see alot of what we could've seen i guess....sigh... then again, it depends on what you and family/friend(s) wants out of the trip lar.... O yes, DAMN HOT....remember your shades and sunblock pls...

skeujin SG oh yes bring mosquito repellent. bodliy n atmospheric ones... axe oil or mopiko wld be good too.... n dnt drink unbottled water or anythg w ice unless yr hotel is repputable...

the Bear SG problem rectified by drinking only canned or bottled beer that was my excuse when i went to Samui with friends
skeujin SG roadside stalls r rumored to use rainwater or drain water to make ice cause they r too poor to make ice outa bottled water n their water pipes r not tt clean eithr. this is wat a local told me.... go buy sunblock tt is also a mossy repellent.saw b4 bt cnt remember wat brand.

the Bear SG yup.. that much i know... also another strange thing.. everyone there seems to have a satellite dish for their tv.. and broadband through the sat. dish... saw their hygiene practices.. that's why it was almost strictly Heinekens for me

the Bear SG ended up eating mostly at this establishment run by angmohs (didn't even know angmohs ran the place until they appeared to talk to the customers)... didn't die or get dysentry so we went back again and again
Maya061 SG aiyoh..chicken makes Bali seemed like a filthy place and Balinese were rude.. well..those rude ppl most aren't Balinese. i also dislike the way they talk dirty and kinda offering themselves to the tourists (prob. they're gigolo or something ). but hey..i ate n drink anything i could eat there, even the one that sold on the street..hehe..i'm used to it.. been living in jakarta for ages..makes Bali really like a paradise to me.. well..just enjoy Bali then, ratty.
on tenterhooks SG btw, ratty...dun buy those aerosol spray type of insect repellent...the irritating custom officer confiscated my bottle...humph! buy those pump ones are ok...
