Dr Who SG For the benefit of potential buyers and sellers of HDB flats: What is the latest transacted price of flats in your estate? What is the latest asking price? I hear 4 room in Marine Parade is over 300k, and 5 rm can get over 500k...... high price at Queenstown too.......
hloc SG Well... unless u have a spare house around, the rise in prices in quite useless. U sell at a high price..... u too have to buy at a high price. Can't live without a roof over the head. So, in the end..... still owe the Bank money.
wanker10 SG My friend sold his 4 room flat at Toa Payoh (point block, ard 10 yrs old) two weeks ago at $408K. Quite nicely done up. The seller upgrade to a terrace house. The buyer downgrade from Condo.
googoomuck SG Redhill 4 rm flat sold for 470k. This is a record. 1100 sq ft., 29th floor.Blk 74A. Buyer must be a goondoo or one of those that benefited from the private condo enblock sales.
Anemon SG Singapore is getting more expensive however wages of the middle income earners are not getting higher and government is not doing sufficient efforts to encounter this problem. And government is planning to increase the population of Singapore with two more million people. Land is belongs to government, HDB’s are belongs to government. People only rent for 99 years. They do not realise it now…because people were blinded with the enormous advertisements (media belongs to government). Wake up Singapore, Rise up and Make the noise….
Mid9Sun SG Yeah its really scarey....my new flat went up by 8 k from last nov to this jan and Then my agent told me last week that my flat now can sell at least 60k more then what i paid for 5 mths ago
alwaysdisturbed SG the rich are buying into the poors' territories. just like how big companys buy over small ones.
anonymouscoward SG Nope.. just that the rich is smart because they know a property crash is pending (so they sell high and buy low; keeping cash for the crash) and the poor is being a sucker for buying sky-high price property (upgrading my ass)... You know the bubble is bursting when 1) People are rushing to buy because they are afraid they might miss the boat 2) Property price is increasing but bank rates are falling 3) Not valid market indexes to show that economy is good; on the reverse side, Singapore economy actually shrunk. 4) Some stupid idiot buys a 99 year lease hold HDB flat for $760K when it is only near Chinatown... not the real town. At $760K, one can buy a freehold property along Katong that is 5 mins from Suntec and pays only one gantry through Nicolle Highway (bypassing all the jams from Tampinese to Bedok).
CoolMyth SG I think when my flat outside got lift ah, prices will go up. But then again, since everything else is going up, it makes no difference in the end.
gerrykoh SG True, majority of S'poreans live in HDB. You only profit if you sell & migrate. If u buy new HDB in Boon Keng or Tampines costing over $600,000 you will take forever to clear housing loan, may have to work till over 65.
CPTMiller SG My friend staying in a 4 room HDB want to downgrade to 3 room soon. The 4room was purchase during the peak price in the 90s.
rathcycle SG this 1 hot news... dunno u know annot recently... opp tiong bahru mrt de 1 hdb, 5 room... sold for 700k+
Atobe SG If I am not mistaken, there is an HDB ruling passed during the last property boom in the mid-1980s that will allow HDB to take 20 per cent of the profit from a HDB unit that is sold above HDB valuation. It is their stated policy that no one should make any extra-ordinary profit from the sale of a ''Government subsidised'' home.
4getmenot SG are they seriously still going about with their "goahmen subsidised" bull? and have HDB actually released the actual cost of building a hdb flat?
