You belong to the latter.

If there is an earthquake, you will probably say, "nah, it's god's will, we are fated to die". Whereas there are others who would investigate the cause of the quake and how best to minimise it's effects. You belong to those African tribes, when it rains, they will say it's god's will, not knowing the water cycle. Contentment is indeed bliss.

Vote for the hands that feeds them... very interesting.. but whos' hands are actually feeding them? the gahmen? and who feeds the gahmen? isn't it the people?

Its the people that forms a gahmen, not the other way round, unfortunately, in s'pore, the men in white thinks otherwise.. it looks more like they are the ones who think they form the 'base of people' in tis country.. Rolling Eyes

From your post, "where to buy skateboard that is not expensive??" and "where to buy and learn electronic keyboard?", proves that you are just a kiddo.

For a person who has trouble buying a skateboard and electronic keyboard, you wouldn't have too many reasonable opinions of our government.

Kids are the easiest to brainwash in schools.

Not in my opinion, kids that age have not been exposed to the working world, they don't really know how society works. There might be the odd few that knows, but it's rare. Kids that are are more concerned with having fun and absorbing whatever the teacher tells them.

Was helping my friend with a report concerning education, it's interesting to note that there could be invisible government propaganda embedded in the schools curriculum.

I was a staunch PAP supporter in the past, that was before I step into the working world for a few years.

During my days, there wasn't so much propaganda. Only the occasional praise by the teachers of the government, yada yada yada.......

Not sure of the current school curriculum now.

While we are arguing here, the ministers will still take their undeserved pays and laugh at us in e comfort of their houses.

Just go to any Popular bookshops and read the Social Studies textbooks...

The social studies n local history curriculum whitewashes a lot of our full history out. It's a very slanted take on how Singapore prospered. When you read History in NUS, the first thing you are told is to forget whatever you were taught in sec school, for it is mostly BS.
