fully agree....its so simple isn't it...China is a much bigger country and as we have lots of economic interests there....it goes without saying whose balls they should carry...its the same if Taiwan was a hinterland and China is just a a small province.....time and again...every country will practice appeasement so that the big fish will not eat the small fish...whatever happened to standing up to our rights....Sillypore will always be beholden to bigger countries whatever they might say.....Independence to Taiwan

Taiwan is a joke!! They are the only country whose politicians are having a field day fighting and flinging chairs and all during their parliamentary sessions!! Even their women politicians will get in the act. Cannot lift a chair to throw at their opponents......no problem....just take out a stellito shoe and whack !! Very Happy

I think the reason they kept blowing hot and cold air is because gov does not know what direction to take. Future of PRC looks uncertain, yet he does not want to pis them off. In the past policy towards ROC are kept towards ambiguity, kept both parties guessing. These days LHL probably is changing that direction. It really diminish our creditibilities.

He told bush he doesn't want to choose side. I don't know why he felt that there are only 2 side solution and not 3 dimension solution....I think he probably only learn 0.01% from LKY.

At least LKY and GCT knew better than to do press diplomacy. LHL..well, apparently he should realise that Singapore is not the United States, and does not have five Continental commands and the 7th Fleet to throw behind those pan-Asian criticism of Taiwan. Rolling Eyes
