Do you agree average life expectancy of elderly is now 82?

Darkness_hacker99 SG

Can! Humans can live till 150 years old if the conditions are right, although this sounded ridiculous. Neutral

But due to Global Warming and the rising Pollutions, the life expectancy is likely to lower abit. Neutral

i think when i'm a senior citizen and i still have to slog long hours, stress from work and all that, i'd rather die..

maurizio13 SG

UN statistics show Singaporeans having life expectancy of: Males = 77 and Females =81.

ndmmxiaomayi SG

Yes, theory only. I read of a theory humans can live up to 200 or more years if we live in water instead, like when a foetus is in his/her mother's womb.

Once out of it, that 200 or more is drastically reduced.

Edit: typo error.

the Bear SG

i think somewhere along the line, some figures were pulled out of someone's ass as a rationale behind attempting to increase retirement age past 70

club18 SG

experience tells us that singaporeans never learn from their mistakes.

<Precious> SG

Who believes in such bullcrap?
Just because a few people lived up to 80 doesn't mean we all will. But I suspect the average life expectancy of Singaporeans is 64. That's why the proposal to raise CPF withdrawal age to 65......... Evil or Very Mad

dragg SG

the statisticians will conveniently 'miss out' this data.

maurizio13 SG

If they raise retirement age, they can hold on to some of those cash that rightfully belongs to us.

maurizio13 SG

Most Singaporeans have short memory span.

experience tell us that bonus package/lift upgrading/etc promised before elections always get the party elected.

Not much longer...

Like I've said, even a Retard after been tricked several time by the same ruse, will wise up...

But I really wonder, who/what make up those 66.6% who stupidly voted for them???

rane SG

yeah, and the majority of them who are happy about gahmen giving the above are old folks. To them gahmen is so good to give them $$$. They don't know that in other western countries the govt do more to care for the people. Mr. Green

charlize SG

Maybe they use MM's age as a guage of where the life expectancy of the average Singaporean is.

Maybe.

Just maybe. Laughing

4getmenot SG

its called benchmarking in their terms i guess..

"lets benchmark top 10 oldest folks in s'pore and we'll get an average of how the life expectency is in s'pore"

"hey, thats a good ideal"

"lets raise the retirement age based on this 'study' "

"wow..a proposal made in heavan indeed.."

*All starts clapping hands and does hip hop dance..

BaruKu_9 SG

Hahaha! The formula or equation they have been using for geting their solution is always the most wonderful one in the world you know? Just like the recent calculation about the fantastic ministers' pay lor! Remember not? Something like getting the highest few to average lor! Those lower one? Not qualified for this type of calculation lah.............

sunnytv SG
