SINGAPORE : A doctor at the Singapore General Hospital (SGH) has
been suspended from practising for two years.
This came after a disciplinary inquiry by the Singapore Medical
Council found him guilty of misconduct.
Dr Wong Siew Kune, who was a consultant at the Diagnostic Radiology
Department, had in 2005 recorded a video clip of a 20-year-old
woman's underwear and buttocks without her knowledge.
Earlier that day, he committed a similar act on a 25-year-old woman
at Thomson Medical Centre.
He was jailed four months for these offences.
The medical council subsequently launched a disciplinary inquiry
against him in May this year.
In his mitigation, Wong said he had committed the offences during a
difficult period in his life.
He was also facing high levels of stress at home and at work.
The disciplinary committee took these into consideration and
suspended him from practising for two years from May 14 this year.
