For one, trying to vote an incumbent out of office, in a
election system engineered to give themselves an critical
advantage(whether intentional or not) is almost impossible. PAP
wants to retain control over the consititution.
Ganering int'l support for an oppressed people is not uncommon. Do
you think those in East Timor, who earned thier freedom with huge
help from international pressure are ashamed of it? Thier leader
even got a nobel prize for it. Do do you look at them differently?
I know I do look at them differently, with more respect that
is.
Although we in singapore are not at the same scale or level of
oppression as those in East Timor previously, we still on the same
side of the coin.
