Isn't it a failure of Govt policy that our productivity is so low compared to HK for so many years?

The statistics has been hammering us for over a decade and we have failed to close the gap at all. If it isn't obvious enough, the failure of the Govt to nurture local entrepreneurship for decades is the reason why we have failed to catch up.

Where's your evidence that our productivity is 'so low'? I think we are comparable, but we do have to upgrade the skills of the older workers without tertiary education. Hong Kong has no problem finding a constant suppply of cheap labour and the best part is, they have plenty of migrant workers from China but nobody can accuse their government of bringing in FT Mr. Green
