I think the 1.5m is not bad thing after all, since it is pumped into the economy, and it will benefit the construction sector somehow, even if it’s only 1.5m

I think $1.5 million is only the estimated cost. I don’t think it’s that cheap. But the speed at which they put up the structure including the spectator stand is really fast, super efficient. They better make sure it’s be fully utilised, like for outdoor concerts, F1 Power Boat, and other performances, and not just for the “dragged to one month long” propaganda parade.

I suppose if NDP is going to be held at Padang again, the whiners are going to say that the organizer for NDP are doing the same shi.t every year and connect this issue to minister's pay and complain that it is a waste of tax payer money.
When government try to do something new, again they will say that it is a waste of tax payer's money.

The only impressive purpose of the floating platform is to be used as for the floating funeral ceremony of the old man.

Cannot comprehend any excitement about investing so many money on a platform that will be dismantled as scrap metal.

As being the world's largest and biggest platform, I guess the claim is not proven or no one else would spend such huge sum of money for a project that have no benefit to any one except for showing off.

I would rather have a floating 'White Elephant' any day of the year, then some minster getting more money. At least the platform will still be there when i go to see it.

NDP is free only if u are lucky enough to get the tix, thru balloting iirc. if not u have to buy it from 'scalpers' who hoard tix to sell for inflated prices?!?

going to batam only costs 40 for a 2 way ferry trip iirc. travel time one way is 40 mins cant remember. and if u did not stereotype it as a place for cheap sex, u maybe shld go there try it out. its not as bad as it sounds. but i guess u will never go there.

Although recently I applaude their final decision to implement Employment Laws in favor of older workers 50 - 60 above Smile

.. kind of late in coming though ... many older workers have already suffered without jobs in the pass years....
